Saudi cement output falls for 10th month in a row – AlJazira Capital

The operational rate of Saudi cement sector fell to 68.7% in March 2022 compared to 69.6% in February 2022, a decline for the 10th month in a row, while it slipped to 71.4% compared to March 2021, Al-Jazira Capital reported.

The company added that Saudi cement and clinker exports decreased 4.1% to 714K tons in March. This included 9 companies led by Yanbu Cement which exported 201K tons, 158K tons exported by Arabian Cement, 141K tons by Saudi Cement and 88K tons by Northern Region Cement.

 AlJazira Capital added that cement and clinker shipments fell 8% to 5.07 million tons in March compared to 5.51 million tons during the same period of 2021.

On market share, AlJazira Capital said that Yamama Cement had the biggest share of 12.9% last month followed by Southern Province Cement with 11% share, while Northern Region Cement had the smallest share of 1% in the market.
