Saudi agricultural fund finances imports worth SR861 mln

Agricultural Development Fund board chairman Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, approved working capital loans worth SR 861 million to finance importing some agricultural products needed to fulfill the Kingdom’s food security.

GM of the Agricultural Development Fund, Muneer Al-Sahli, said that approving these loans comes in line with the leadership vision to keep up with the current international events and to insure a more than enough reserve of products (such as soybeans and barely) in addition to avoiding any shortage or supply chain disruption.

Al-Sahli extended his thanks and appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRC the Crown Prince MBS for the support they give to the Fund and enhancing the Kingdom’s food security.
