The Saudi Monarch Chairs the Cabinet weekly Session

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud presided over the Cabinet weekly session held, at Al-Yamamah Palace, in Riyadh.

At the outset of the session, the Cabinet hailed the designating 22 February, annually, as a day to commemorate the founding of the Saudi state, under the name of: (The Foundation Day), representing the pride in the firm roots of the blessed Saudi state, and the close association of its citizens with its leaders, since the era of Imam Muhammad bin Saud, 3 centuries ago.

As well as to draw attention to the unity and security, in the Arabian Peninsula, it has established, following times of dispersion, division and instability, and what the country has achieved in the current era of national revival, comprehensive development and building for the present as well as the future of the human being, living amid, and for a global standing of the Kingdom, among nations.

The Cabinet was briefed on topics several issues, on its agenda, and concluded the following:

Authorizing the Minister of Communications and Information Technology – or his representative – to discuss with the Singaporean side a draft- memorandum of cooperation between the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Singapore Ministry of Communications and Information, in the areas of digital economy, emerging technologies, and digital government.

Authorizing the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources – or his representative – to negotiate with the South African side regarding a draft-memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the South African Ministry of Mineral Resources for cooperation in the field of mineral resource.

Authorizing the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Transport – or his representative – to discuss with the Omani side a draft cooperation agreement between the Saudi Government and the Omani Government, in the field of maritime transport.

Enabling the Ministry of Tourism to detect violations, in the list of penalties for municipal violations, related to its competences.

Approving the final accounts of the Real Estate Development Fund and the General Authority for Military Industries, of 2 previous fiscal years.
