4th Season of Mossem Watan Competition Launched

Al Fozan Community Service Program the Launch of the 4th season of the Mossem Watan competition, in collaboration with the Quality-of-Life Program, under the motto: By Your Hands.

The 4th season represents an extension of the creative aspects demonstrated by Saudi artists and designers, in previous seasons, Secretary-General of the competition, Dr. Mashari Al-Naim, explained, adding that it presented distinctive and highly competitive works in terms of design and aesthetic touches that enriched the competition and enhanced its value, as an initiative aimed at adding aesthetic features to the Saudi cities and improving the quality of life in them.

Al-Naim called on designers and artists of both sexes to participate in enriching the deep historical stock of national culture.

The competition aims to be a model for activating partnerships with the private sector, within the framework of social responsibility, CEO of the Quality of Life Program Center, Eng. Ahmed Badris stated, saying that it is enabling the private sector to contribute and take the initiative to invest in various areas of quality of life, including urban design.

In addition to beautifying cities, as well as enabling young men and women to invest their abilities and creativity and reflecting the history of the Kingdom and the values ​​of national belonging, through models that are implemented, in the public squares and plazas, he elaborated.

The competition’s general secretariat pointed out that there are 4 new sites distributed over several regions, across the Kingdom, that will be announced later.

Reception of entries for the 4th season will be through the application on the official website, it indicated.

Submission is available to engineering offices and universities, to citizens and residents of both sexes, according to requirements set by the committee and published on the competition website.

It is worth noting that the competition was launched in 2018, and it is among Al Fozan’s initiatives for community service. It is an annual national competition that attracts competitive works to be embodied as an anthropomorphic on the ground on the National Day every year. Since its launch, more than 300 competitors have participated in the competition, and the winner of the 1st season was Al-Bairaq Roundabout.

As for the 2nd season, Al-Ardah Square and Anan Al-Samaa Roundabout were the winners, while Obaya Roundabout, Al-Sado Roundabout and Rewaya Malak Square won in the 3rd season of the competition
