Specialized Manufacturing Factories, Operating, in the Kingdom Stood, at 230

Overall volume of investment in manufactured products, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exceeded SR15 billion by the end of September 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources stated, in a report issued by the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information.

That constitutes 1.13% of the total volume of investments, in the industrial sector, while the number of factories specialized in manufacturing, in the Kingdom reached 230.

These factories specialized, in manufacturing industries, contribute to the provision of around 10,000 jobs, in various technical, mechanical, and supervisory fields, of which national cadres accounted for 27%, the report added.

manufacturing industry is an activity based on the processing of extracted raw materials from nature and agricultural, plant and animal materials and transform them into other forms and shapes, consequently striking the so called added value.

Such industries in the Kingdom consist of a wide range of products, including jewelry, tools and devices for medicine, surgery, dentistry and veterinary medicines, contact lenses, fiber-optic packages, in addition to bicycles, toys, swings, shooting games platforms and many more.

These products used in daily life, or involved in the manufacturing process of many important products.

On the other hand, number of factories specialized in the production of ornaments and jewelry and their parts made of precious metals or of ordinary metals covered with a crust of precious metals, constituted the largest percentage of factories specialized in manufacturing industries, at the end of last September, followed by the manufacture of several ready-made products such as tailoring clothes.

The total volume of exports of the manufacturing activity exceeds SR436 million, drawing attention to the most prominent receiving countries of the Kingdom’s manufacturing industries, the report named the United States, Belgium, Sudan, the Emirates, Kuwait, Egypt, and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Topping the list of manufacturing products was Gold bars, sets of clothing, especially those used for surgical operations, and toothbrushes.
