SFD Chief, Ethiopian Finance Minister Review Saudi Funded-Projects

The CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Al-Murshed received Ahmed Shedi, the Ethiopian Minister of Finance, currently on a visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, they reviewed the Kingdom’s financed project, by the fund, to support Ethiopia.

The two sides discussed issues of common interest, and means to promote existing cooperation, which aim to support infrastructure and contribute to sustainable growth in Ethiopia.

Shede expressed his gratitude for the Kingdom’s efforts to support Ethiopia over the past years, praising the efforts of the Saudi Fund for Development in financing development projects and programs over decades, noting that these projects financed by the Fund have a positive impact on growth and social and economic prosperity in all different sectors.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Fund for Development provided 8 soft loans to support and finance 8 development projects, in Ethiopian, with a total value of more than $227 million.
