As they meet ISO requirements

SASO affiliated Labs Obtain National Accreditation

Diverse laboratories of the National Center for Measurement and Calibration have obtained the accreditation of the Saudi Accreditation Center, after the chemical and photometric laboratories achieved the requirements of the international standard ISO 17025,

Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization announced.

Quality system, at the National Center for Measurement and Calibration is internationally recognized by the Gulf and Asian Metrology Association, it indicated, in addition to meeting the requirements of the mutual recognition agreement, which allows the center’s laboratories to publish the capabilities of measurement and calibration CMCs on the platform of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (Pints and scales).

Such accreditation is a new addition to the record of continuous achievements that support the development of the quality infrastructure system, in the Kingdom, SASO confirmed, pointing that through the provision of accredited, reliable and recognized calibration services locally and internationally, the Kingdom’s regional and international leadership, in the field of measurement and calibration, is proven.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Accreditation Center is the only national authority to grant accreditation to conformity assessment bodies, as the accreditation activity is among the main pillars of the quality infrastructure for its significant role in raising the level, quality and adequacy of services and products and increasing consumer confidence, in them.
