Robert Wilt Appointed as CEO of Ma’aden

Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) announced on Sunday that its Board of Directors issued a resolution on 20.01.2022 to appoint Mr. Robert Wilt (Bob) as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer effective from 01.02.2022, in which Eng. AlHarbi’s assignment will be ended effective from 31.01.2022), Eng. AlHarbi will assume his new role as a Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

The Board of Directors expressed its thanks and appreciation to Eng. Al-Harbi during his assignment; and wishing every success to Mr. Robert Wilt (Bob); to perform his duties as a CEO of the Company.

This comes with reference to the announcement of Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) issued on Sunday, 25.04.2021 regarding delegating Eng. Abdulaziz AlHarbi as acting Chief Executive Officer.

The company added that the date of board resolution of appointment of Mr. Robert Wilt (Bob) is     20.01.2020. The date work commencement is 01.02.2022.

Mr. Robert Wilt (Bob) holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management from the US Military Academy and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard University, and he carries with him over 30 years of management experience. Bob joined Alcoa Inc. and held several executive positions, where he served as an Executive Vice President of Energy Development and Vice President Operating, ending with Vice President of Global Primary Products. Bob recently holds the position of CEO at Sofina Foods Canadian Inc, the company concluded.
