Prince-minister of Energy: Saudi-Iraqi Power Grids’ Connection Would Produce as many as Gigawatts

Prince-minister of Energy Abdulaziz bin Salman announced, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency that the electrical interconnection project between the Kingdom and Iraq will produce, at its 1st stage, as many as several gigawatts of power.

It is noteworthy that Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman has signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding, in the field of electrical interconnection, with the Iraqi Minister of Electricity of Eng. Adel Karim.

The memorandum of understanding frames bilateral cooperation in the field of electrical interconnection between the power grids of the two brotherly countries.
