Minister of Communications Receives his Iraqi Counterpart

Mnister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawaha his Iraqi Eng. Arkan Al-Shaibani and accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the Kingdom, in the presence of the Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom, Dr. Abdul Sattar Al-Janabi.

During the meeting, they discussed means of strengthening cooperation between the two brotherly countries, in the field of the digital economy and government.

The meeting reviewed the leading Saudi experience, in the fields of digital transformation and the development of communications and infrastructure, in addition to adoption of the latest technologies reached by the 4th Industrial Revolution.

That was a step that contributed to enhancing the Kingdom’s access to and advanced position, in this field, supporting Saudi technology companies to expand in Iraqi markets.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Saudi-Iraqi Technical Forum was held, in which the Agency for Technology reviewed trends and initiatives in the Kingdom, and some Saudi technology companies shed light on the promising investment opportunities, in addition to the technical services they provide.
