Through “studies to build, strengthen national capabilities of the trade"

Localizing Agricultural-relating Professions, set as a Target -Ministry Sa

Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture stated that it is currently seeking to localize the agricultural profession, through the project “Studies to Build and Strengthen National Capabilities for the Profession of the Trade of Agriculture”, by upgrading young men and women skills, to pursue this trade and to manufacture and market agricultural products, in the Kingdom.

This came during the graduation ceremony of 75 male and female agricultural pioneers, after passing the training phase carried out by the ministry during the past period, at the Agricultural Training Center, in Riyadh.

The ministry indicated that this project aims to localize the agricultural profession, and rehabilitate the national capabilities in the labor market, in the field of agricultural production, services, manufacturing and marketing of products.

In addition to implementing a scientific and practical training programs to practice the profession of agriculture, noting that localization comes through improving performance by on-job-training.

As well as being based on scientific and awareness programs that would qualify them for the labor market, in the field of agriculture.

Training course is set at three months and includes training in behavioral skills, entrepreneurship, and the chosen specialization, in addition to practical and applied field training, the Director-General of the ministry’s branch, in Riyadh region, Majed Al-Faraj, explained, indicating that after the trainee successfully completes the training, he shall obtain an approved certificate from the ministry.

Furthermore, the graduates shall be provided with technical support through experts’ teams dedicated to inquiries and answering their questions.

Advantages obtained by graduates, include marketing them with relevant companies and institutions, to provide them with job opportunities, via holding workshops in the region, through which these companies, institutions and graduates are invited.

Finally, registering them in agricultural cooperative societies, in the region, to benefit from their services, benefits and advantages.
