Khalid Al Shuwaier Appointed as CEO of AXA Insurance

AXA Cooperative Insurance Company announced on Monday the company’s board of directors’ decision to appoint Mr. Khalid Abdulaziz Al Shuwaier as the company’s CEO, after receiving Saudi Central Bank no-objection to the appointment.

Axa indicated that the approval of the Central Bank for the appointment was received on January 13, 2022

The Board of Directors of AXA Cooperative Insurance company also announced on Monday the results of the Ordinary General assembly Meeting (First Meeting), which was held on Sunday 16 January 2022 at 18:30 through modern technology after reaching the legal quorum as per the company bylaws. The percentage of attending shareholders is 54.08778%

Voting Results on the Items of the General Assembly’s Meeting Agenda’s:

1. Approval on the Board’s resolution to appoint Mr. Osama Kamela Kishk as a Non- Executive board member starting from the date of his appointment on 06/09/2021 G. to complete the Board term until the end of the current term on 31/07/2024 G., succeeding the former member Mr. Nicolas De Nazelle Non- Executive board member.
2. Approval on the Board’s resolution to appoint Mr. Bijan Khosrowshahi as a Non- Executive board member starting from the date of his appointment on 06/09/2021 G. to complete the Board term until the end of the current term on 31/07/2024 G., succeeding the former member Mr. Stephen Wagstaff Non- Executive board member.
3. Approval on the Board’s resolution to appoint Mr. Jean Cloutier as a Non- Executive board member starting from the date of his appointment on 06/09/2021 G. to complete the Board term until the end of the current term on 31/07/2024 G., succeeding the former member Mr. Ali Abdulla Kanoo Non- Executive board member.
4. Approval on the Board’s resolution to appoint Mr. Farid Saber as a Non- Executive board member starting from the date of his appointment on 06/09/2021 G. to complete the Board term until the end of the current term on 31/07/2024 G., succeeding the former member Mr. Matthieu Bebear Non- Executive board member.
