Jazan Winter Festival 22nd Edition Revives Regional, Accommodation & Tourism

Accommodation and tourism sector, in Jazan region, is experiencing increasing number of visitors and tourists, in conjunction with the extended weekend of the second semester, and Jazan Winter Festival 22 edition, which contributed to raising the occupancy rate to nearly 100%, in many hotels, furnished apartments and condominiums, in the region.

Volume of tourism spending, during the festival, is estimated at an average of about SR2.8 billion, annually, according to the Secretary-General of Jazan Chamber of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Gohari.

That is stimulating the private sector to invest in tourism opportunities, in the region, which currently includes more than 63 hotels with 2,891 rooms, in addition to more than 358 buildings, for furnished housing units, comprising 9,074 indoor units, the occupancy rates throughout the year range from 59% in regular periods of the year and 100%, during the seasons of holidays and festivals.
