Institutional Transformation Strategy, Kicked off

The Saudi Export Development Authority launched the Saudi Exports institutional transformation strategy, aims to move to a new stage, to keep pace with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, in integration with several relevant government agencies, with a final goal of diversifying the local economy, by promoting Saudi non-oil exports.

The announcement was unfolded, at a ceremony organized by the Authority under the patronage of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Bandar Al-Khorayef.

The Authority’s new strategy will raise the value of non-oil exports from 16% to at least 50% of GDP, by 2030, according to ambitious vision of the Kingdom.

Such an institutional transformation of the authority is a qualitative road map, whose paths and plans are in line with the development visions of the national economy, in tandem with the wise leadership directives, aiming to achieve a real partnership with the private sector, in accordance with the vision of the Kingdom 2030, Secretary-General of the Saudi Export Development Authority, Faisal Al-Baddah indicated.

In targets, specifically exporters; and shall be achieved through improving the export environment, developing the capabilities of exporters, improving their competitiveness’ cutting edge, in the world markets, and raising their readiness to face global challenges.

Exports in the Kingdom were facing more than 160 obstacles, fortunately resolved daring 2021, and more than 28 workshops and training programs for exporters were held, he added.

Saudi Export Stimulation Program was launched, too, he elaborated, encouraging and assists Saudi companies to build and enhance their competitive capabilities and expand their global reach, with the “Made in Saudi Arabia” program, which contributed to creating a unified identity for the nationally manufactured exports.
