SCCH, Sanofi Sign MOU to Explore Manufacturing of Clexane Syringes in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Chemical Company Holding (SCCH), through its pharmaceutical sector represented by AJA Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (AJA Pharma), and Sanofi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore the possibility of manufacturing Sanofi’s Clexane prefilled syringes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Clexane is considered as therapeutic solution that prevents and treats thrombosis that may also affects a significant percentage of Covid-19 patients with severe symptoms.

Through this MOU, (AJA Pharma), a subsidiary of Saudi Chemical Company Holding, would provide manufacturing facilities and systems that function efficiently, safely, and reliably to produce Clexane prefilled syringes and expand its services in the Saudi market.

(SCCH) said it is keen to invest in vital sectors and value-added projects to serve and meet the community needs, contribute to local industries diversification, increase local content and drive economic development towards achieving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.

“The Memorandum duration will be 18 months. There are no related parties. The financial impact of this announcement cannot be determined.” the company said.
