For the 1st time, in the Kingdom

Saudi Made N95 Masks to, shortly, Hit Markets Shelves

Saudi Mais Company for Medical Products was able to produce the first N95 masks, manufactured in the Kingdom from polypropylene manufactured in (SABIC), in cooperation with the Dimas Nonwoven Fabrics company.

The product shall be obtained following the necessary approvals, after meeting the requirements of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.

SABIC’s keenness to support the national industry and achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, was reaffirmed by Vice Chairman and CEO Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, to enable local content and strategic industries through its national support initiative, noting that the company works in an integrated manner with industrial institutions, in the Kingdom, to provide innovative and sustainable solutions through the development of raw materials that are used in the manufacture of products of utmost importance to the society, and to raise the industry quality and efficiency.

“The local production of these masks represents an important step in the field of localizing medical products, which contribute to enhancing prevention and raising public health levels, explaining that the Nusaned ™ initiative works with a wide base of local entrepreneurs and manufacturers, in the field of localizing strategic industries and transferring technologies necessary for these industries, Al-Bunyan concluded.
