SABIC Agri-Nutrients Company announces appointment of a Chief Executive Officer

SABIC Agri-Nutrients Co. announced on Monday its board of directors’ resolution issued Sunday evening 19-12-2021, based on the recommendation of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee, appointing Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Shamsaddin as the CEO starting from 01-01-2022.

“It is worth to mention that the Company has worked to create a number of leadership and managerial positions within the new management organizational structure, including the creation of the “CEO” position replacing the “Company President” position which has been held by Mr. Fahd bin Misfer Al-Battar, who has been appointed as Chief Operations Officer”. The company said.

These changes coincide with the Company’s strategic directions to expand and take advantage of growth opportunities to keep up with the expected developments in fulfilling its strategies and to be well positioned to lead the global agri-nutrient industry.

Eng. Abdulrahman Shamsaddin has a distinguished professional career with extensive experience in several fields such as Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance and Operations at refineries and petrochemical plants, as well as in risk management and internal audit.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mechanical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, and he has held several leadership position at SABIC the last of which was the Executive Vice President for Shared Services.
