Rijal Almaa, fairly, squarely, on the List of Best Tourist Villages, in the world

Rijal Almaa village, in the Assir Region, of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was included in the list of the best tourist villages, in the world.

This was unfolded, during an official ceremony, on the sidelines of the UNWTO general session, in Madrid, Spain.

selected Rijal Almaa among 175 participating entities representing

Rijal Almaa village is 45 km west of Abha city, the capital of Assir Region, in the mountainous situated in the farthest south of the Kingdom.

However, with a unique example of Saudi Arabia’s diverse heritage, panoramic landscape, and culture, SPA reported.

It consists of 60 multi-storey palaces, built of natural mud stone and wood, occupying an outstanding position, at the heart of the historical trade networks, formerly linking Yemen and Syria, through nowadays Makkah and Madinah regions, respectively.
