Palms, Dates Research Center Take part, in Dates’ Int’l Exhibition

Palms, Dates Research Center, at King Faisal University has participated in the International Dates Exhibition, recently held in Riyadh.

During the occasion, it has presented several research and studies, in the field of palms and dates.

Visitors and those interested in the field of palms and dates reviewed the practical conclusions reached by researchers, in the sector.

Among the most important research programs are the Date Palm Physiology and Production Program, the Date Palm Sustainable Pest Management Program, the Date Palm Micro-engineering Techniques Program, the Date Palm Biotechnology Program, the Food and Processing Industries Program, and the Date Palm Economics Program.

The visitors were also briefed on the latest practical experiences that the center is working on, to enrich farmers and producers, in a way that enhances the value and importance of the products and its save them against all pests.

The center reviewed the most important innovative food products, in the field of dates, research vessels, theses, postgraduate studies and the role of the university in maintaining scientific paths, that enrich the palm sector, in general locally as well as globally.
