MODON Reveal Identifying Strategic Goals’ Set, to be Achieved

Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones “Modon” revealed that it has identified a set of strategic goals, that it seeks to achieve, during the next three years, to rationalize energy consumption and shift towards renewable energy uses, in industrial cities.

This came on the sidelines of MODON’s participation in the “Inlet Europe 2021” summit held under the umbrella of “Invest in Saudi”, from November 30 to December 2, 2021, in Milan, Italy.

Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications Department, and official spokesperson, Qusai Al-Abdulkarim said that MODON reviewed investment opportunities, in the field of energy, renewable energy and smart solutions related to energy efficiency, in industrial cities, as part of its strategy to empower the industry, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, and its initiatives in National Industrial Development and Logistics Program “NDLP.”

“Modon” provided a detailed presentation to its visitors about industrial services and products, the business environment, and incentives that contribute to empowering the advantages and encourage investment partners, in the local and international private sector within its industrial cities, he said elaborated.

MODON has a set of strategic goals that it seeks to achieve during the next three years, to rationalize energy use, raise operational efficiency in industrial cities by taking advantage of modern technologies in the energy sector, in addition to launching several initiatives to shift towards the uses of renewable energy to contribute to preserving the environment, within its social responsibility programs..

He added that MODON aims to shift towards renewable energy in facilities management, as solar energy has been started in some administrative buildings, in the industrial cities, and a group of industrial facilities is partially fed with solar energy, and work is currently underway to produce solar energy, in the second industrial city, in Dammam to feed part of the industrial sewage treatment plant.

He stressed that the road lighting system within 6 industrial cities has been converted to LED technologies, as a first stage and the target is 16 industrial cities, as MODON has succeeded in providing electricity consumption rates by 76%, contributing to raising the operating efficiency in industrial cities through modern energy technologies.
