Minister of Transport Takes part, in Bangladesh Int’l Investment Summit 2021

Minister of Transport, Logistics, Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser participated in the Bangladesh International Investment Summit 2021, recently held in Dhaka.

The summit aimed to expand prospects of economic cooperation, and to introduce joint investment opportunities, in all strategic sectors, transport economics and the logistics industry.

In his speech at the conference’s business session, Al-Jasser praised the Kingdom’s efforts and its prominent role in supporting investment opportunities, facilitating procedures, and accelerating business in the multi-transport and logistics sector, by strengthening partnership with the private sector and adopting modern and stimulating business models to achieve the objectives of the national transport and logistics services strategy, consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics center, linking the three continents of the world.

Kingdom’s transport and logistics system; represents one of the promising pillars of economic and development diversification, and it is currently witnessing many qualitative initiatives and major developments, aimed at achieving a major shift towards developing the sector and expanding its economic and development contributions,

he explained.

Minister of Transport and Logistics highlighted the promising opportunities for the major projects, included in the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, in order to support sustainable growth and raise the contribution of the transport and logistics sector to the domestic product and achieve comprehensive development, in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

On the other hand, during the visit, the minister also has met with his Bangladeshi counterpart and other senior officials to enhance means of cooperation between the two countries, in the field of transport and logistics.
