The 2-side discussed ways to promote bilateral trade exchange, raise its volume

Minister of Transport Co-chaired 1st Saudi-Singaporean Joint Committee’s Session

Minister of Transport and Logistics, Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser has co-chaired the meetings of the first session of the Saudi-Singaporean Joint Committee; to strengthen economic relations between the two sides.

During the session, the two sides discussed ways to promote trade exchange.

They also agreed on the committee’s work mechanism and organizational structure, in addition to various initiatives and topics of common interest, to enhance cooperation with the Singaporean side and exchange experiences between the two parties, in a way that contributes to achieving common goals.

On the other hand, various f memoranda of understanding and agreements that will contribute to supporting the economic and investment sectors between the two countries, were co-signed, too.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Transport and Logistics aims, in accordance with the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics, to invest in the Kingdom’s distinctive strategic location, and to consolidate its position among the rest of the countries, as a global logistics center for the commercial and economic movement of the three continents of the old world, through the implementation of a package of major projects, enabling vital economic and development sectors, and the signing of several agreements that will have impact on strengthening the Kingdom’s economy and its connection with the global economy and international markets.

Furthermore, in order to adopt effective governance models to enhance institutional work, establish an advanced industry and build high-quality systems of services, to realize sustainable development.
