Made in Saudi Arabia Program Attracts, as much as 1,100 firms

The Made in Saudi Arabia program, or the Saudi Made, in short, was launched with the aim of supporting Saudi companies and accelerating their growth, by encouraging local consumers to buy more national products, and motivating Saudi companies to export to priority markets.

More than 1,100 local companies participated in the program, with more than 4,500 products.

The Industrial Development Fund, which has a capital of SR105 billion, and is the main financial enabler for the sectors of launched the program, and has worked, since, to offer various financing products, that accelerate the pace of achievement and raise the competitiveness of the program sectors and their ability to attract investors, local and foreign, as well.

The prefabricated factories initiative was launched, too, and 197 factories were completed, as there are factories that have been put forward for implementation, some of them have been designed and have been completed.

During the pandemic crisis, it took advantage of a number of investors, in establishing factories that contributed to facing the emerging crisis of the Coronavirus, and it was announced that 74 supply chains had been identified, in the military sector across 6 defense and security fields, and that more than 74 companies had been licensed, in the military sector.

Moreover, Saudi ports achieved 70.68 points in the Global Navigation Network Connectivity Index  for the third quarter of 2021.

And the percentage of transshipment of sea freight containers increased by more than 24% in Saudi ports, during the first half, and the Kingdom was ranked for the first time, in the list of the top 10 ports, in the world, ranking 5h as the fastest country in the world, in handling container ships.
