Saudi Exports Launch New York-based Trade Mission

As Saudi Exports to America Increased by 82%, during 2021, 1st Half

Saudi Export Development Authority “Saudi Exports” is holding, in New York today, the work of the Saudi trade mission to the United States of America, in cooperation with the Saudi American Business Council, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Saudi Export Development Authority, Faisal Al-Baddah, and the Executive Vice President of the Saudi American Business Council David Callahan.

This is a part of its efforts to develop Saudi non-oil exports, by linking exporters with buyers, as one of its strategic goals and roles, SPA reported.

15 As many as 15 Saudi companies representing the building materials, foodstuffs and renewable energy sectors are participating in the mission’s work, with the aim of searching for new prospects for cooperation with American companies.

The Saudi American trade mission includes business matching meetings for Saudi companies, to connect them with potential buyers, in the American market to support better access to national products to the US market.

It is noteworthy that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s exports to the United States of America have increased by 82% during the first half of 2021, compared to the same period of the Year 2020.

Its total value amounted to SR5.50 billion.

Saudi Exports also employs all its capabilities to achieve a vision of being the main driving engine for achieving sustainable growth, in the Kingdom’s non-oil exports, and contributing to raising the percentage of non-oil exports from 16% to at least 50% of the non-oil GDP.

Among the measures and initiatives that the authority is to make the Saudi products, strong enough competitor, in the international as well as regional markets.
