Saudi Dates’ Int’l Exhibition, Concluded

Functions of the Saudi Dates’ Int’l Exhibition, recently held in Riyadh for five days, concluded with an attendance of over 24,000 visitors.

The event falls in line with initiatives of the National Center for Palms and Dates, in collaboration with the Saudi Date brand Mark, contributing to the adoption of quality standards for exportable dates.

The number of agricultural holdings that obtained the Saudi Date Mark reached 4,650, while the number of factories that obtained the Saudi Date Mark reached 56 factories.

Local developed and promoted experiences enhanced the quality of the products displayed at the exhibition, including samples of organic farming, which have drawn the attention of visitors and researchers, as well.

Al-Dakka Model Farm was presented by the Center as part of its main initiatives, and the organic farms contributing to the high percentage of foreign exports and the acceptance of dates by foreign markets as an organic product.

It is licensed in Europe, America and Japan.

Presence of the Dakka, the farm that won the approval of many visitors to the International Dates Exhibition, had an impact on agricultural awareness about the date products development programs, which have begun its journey in the late 90s in the Ghat Governorate, in the Kingdom.

The site of Dakka is characterized by many natural characteristics that enabled it to develop production to provide the land with fertility and potential for quality agricultural production.

The organic bench has been approved by KIWA BCS, which is compatible with organic farming, in the Kingdom, Gulf countries and Europe, in addition to the Saudi brand of dates and the Japanese organic production mark.
