Zakat Authority Signs Cooperation Agreement with Azeri State Customs Committee

Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority signed a cooperation agreement with the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee with the aim of enhancing international cooperation on issues related to applying and implanting customs systems between the two countries.

Authority Governor Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi and Chairman of Azeri State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev co-signed the agreement.

The agreement aims at realizing administrative assistance between the two sides in a way that achieves sound implementation of the customs law in the two countries to avoid customs violations and investigate them in a bid to enhance exchanging customs information.

Other cooperation aspects in the agreement include exchanging information on illicit trade of goods, such as all types of weapons, archeological pieces and drugs.
