SABIC establishes third Ethylene Glycols Plant in Jubail United Petrochemicals

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) announced on Monday the initial startup activities at United Ethylene Glycol Plant (3).

The estimated annual production capacity is 700,000 metric tons of monoethylene glycol (MEG).

This comes in reference to the announcement made by Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) on 27 December 2017, regarding the awarding of the engineering design, procurement and construction contract for the Ethylene Glycol plant (3).

The financial impact will be reflected after the initial startup activities and the start of commercial operation, the company said.
