Public Debt Rise to SR948.3 bln, in Q3

The public debt reached SR948,322 billion at the end of the 9 months of the year, up by SR94.8 billion, at the end of 2020, when it stood at SR853.515 billion.

On the other hand, the internal debt increased to SR560.557 billion, up SR57.9 billion from 2020’s level of SR502.657 billion, while external debt increased to SR387.766 billion, up SR36.9 billion from last year’s level of SR350,859 billion.

SR23.795 billion in internal debts and SR27.296 billion in external debts were borrowed, during the 9-month of the year, bringing the total amount of financing the budget deficit, during the period to SR51.091 billion, with a SR51 billion deficit.

The Saudi national currency, the Riyal, or in short the SR, is not utilized to finance the deficit until Q3, and it will be used to pay down the deficit, for the rest of the year.

In turn, the income totaled SR43.381 billion, expenses totaled SR236.697 billion, leading to a SR6.7 billion surplus, Saudi Ministry of Finance budget for Q3-2021, highlighted.

Revenues for the 9-month of the year totaled SR696.248 billion vs expenditures at SR701.62 billion, and a deficit at SR.373 billion, accordingly.
