Positive Results Posted via Mode Initiative to Support E-games Sector

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) revealed that the Game Mode initiative to support the electronic games sector, in the Kingdom, has achieved many positive results, after its launch, in partnership with the Saudi Electronic Sports Federation, at the end of the last quarter of last the Year 2020.

The aim is to improve the experience of users of electronic games and providing qualitative initiatives, focused on developing this sector.

It pointed out that the performance indicators allocated to the initiative monitored have improved the average response time “ping” by up to 82% in the games: Fortnite, FIFA, apex legends, dota2, Valorant, and overwatch, in addition to World F games.

The world of Warcraft, pubg, amongst, and league of legends, in addition to the number of subscriptions to the updated packages for players reaching 1.2 million.

And the allocation of a platform for communication service providers to render technical support to players.

The Game Mode initiative also resulted, in STC’s sponsorship of e-sports activities, in the Kingdom, with an amount of SR3 million, and the provision of direct payment for electronic games, as well as to provide platforms for cloud games, and hosting electronic games, locally.
