Noble Approval Issued for the Local Content, Government Procurement Authority Request

A noble approval was issued for the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority request, to form task teams for the development of local content, in all government agencies, whose budget is financed by the state’s general budget, to undertake all tasks and responsibilities related to the development of local content.

The approval included directing government agencies that conduct business and procedures for offering business, procurement and contracting to form teams, to develop local content, in order to carry out all tasks and responsibilities related to the development of local content.

Meanwhile, the teams shall be linked to the head of the government agency.

It stipulated that these teams shall work, in collaboration and coordination with the authority to achieve compliance with local content requirements, industry localization and knowledge transfer agreements, address private sector complaints, provide technical advice when examining offers, put at avail data and reports the authority needs, and submit periodic reports related to content development.
