Measuring Digital Transformation of Govt. Agencies’ Results Announced

The Digital Government Authority announced the results of measuring the digital transformation of government agencies’ report, in its ninth session for the Year 2021.

It revealed the progress of as many as 45 government agencies, to the stages of innovation and integration.

Namely, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization and the Ministry of Health have reached the stage of innovation, in addition to another 43 entities reaching the stage of integration, as the measurement aims to support government agencies, in the digital transformation process, to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Commenting on the report, and confirming the ninth measurement taking place, in several systematic stages and specific work mechanisms, in accordance with the previously announced standards, the Governor of the authority, Eng. Ahmed Al-Suwayan, explained, indicating that the number of covered bodies amounted to 176 government agencies, classified into nine groups, according to the services provided to the beneficiaries.

These results reflected the Kingdom’s progress and global leadership, in digital government services, which were praised by the most prominent international organizations, especially during the pandemic, including progressing to second place, in the digital competitiveness index, among the G20 countries and the United Nations OSI index.

Readiness of government electronic services, in the Kingdom reached 98%, in addition to advancing 9 positions, in the United Nations e-government development index and reaching the third place, globally, in Internet penetration and other indicators, praising the great support that government agencies enjoy, in the journey of digital transformation from the leadership.

The journey of measuring the ninth digital transformation of government agencies, included five stages: preparing and taking initial steps to advance, in the domains of digital transformation.

 Providing all policies, standards, processes, and tools related to the domains of digital transformation. Developing all aspects of digital transformation domains and monitoring them for continuous improvement and access to beneficiaries’ satisfaction.

 Achieving internal integration among management and its departments, and externally with other entities.

In addition to providing creative and innovative models, in the domains of digital transformation, with utilizing of emerging technologies and modern trends, in government digital transformation process.
