The Islamic University, in Madinah, has signed memos of understanding with a host of specialized firms, in the field of communications and information technology, to develop local digital skills, in the Kingdom, and develop the capabilities of talented students.
The agreement signed with Huawei, in the presence of President of the University, Prince Dr. Mamdouh bin Saud bin Thunayan, International Vice President of Huawei Technologies Hu Tao, and Executive Vice President of the company, in the Kingdom, Stephen Liu and a number of university officials.
The memos aim to provide the latest technologies to the university to contribute to the welfare of students.
Talented people and enhancing their capabilities through the Huawei ICT Academy programs, is guaranteed through the signing.
This agreement comes in view of the important role that technical skills play, in achieving digital transformation, which is one of the main ingredients for achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Despite the great progress made by the Kingdom in the field of developing technical talents, its ambitious program that focuses on digital transformation requires building an evolving ecosystem of ICT talent.
