Workings of the Islamic Financial Services Board Summit 15th Edition, hosted by the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia (SAMA), in Jeddah, on 9-11 November, concluded.
The gathering was held under the theme of Islamic Finance and Digital Transformation: Balancing Innovation and Resilience, with the participation of as many as 100 representatives of central banks and regulators from 18 countries.
Addressing the closing session, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank for Research and Affairs Dr. Fahad Al-Dossari expressed thanks of the Islamic Financial Services Board for its tireless and relentless efforts exerted to support and develop the Islamic financial services sector, promote innovation, in the Islamic financial system, and benefit from its services.
He also thanked all the speakers and participants in the summit, as they have enriched the summit sessions by the plenty rich discussions and views exchanging, on current and emerging issues, in the Islamic financial services sector, and the efforts required, in the future, to enhance flexibility and achieve stability, in the field of Islamic finance services.
Keenness shown by SAMA will continue through efforts to be further exerted to keep pace with global digital developments and transformations, Dr. Al-Dossari stressed, concluding that the main goal is to achieve growth, development and leadership, in the financial services domain, at the local, regional and international levels, as well.
