Arab Organization for Agricultural Development Training Course, Concluded

Activities of the Pan-Arab training courses, on ways to create geographical indicators for agricultural products, concluded.

The event has taken place, at the headquarters of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, of the Arab League, in Khartoum.

It was implemented by the organization through visual communication technique, for the benefit of all member states, but mainly, for as many as 40 cadres of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in Algeria, during the period from 21-25 November 2021.

The training program aims to introduce participants to the global markets, for vegetables and fruits, improve the position of Algerian agricultural products, in the global markets, to define the concepts of quality and geographical indications, appellations of origin and the system and methods of recognition.

In addition to the registration of geographical indications and their role in the protection of origin, protection of traditional knowledge and the institutional framework for coding Algerian agricultural

products, and indicators related to geographical and WTO

agreements.

The training program also included studying a project on the path of coding and following up on its successive stages.
