In periodic meetings to achieve maritime transport objectives

Saudi Ports Authority Hold Meetings with Shipping Lines

Authority’s President Omar bin Talal Hariri met with as many as 15 local and world companies of shipping lines representatives, as part of a series of continuous periodic meetings, in order to achieve the objectives of the maritime transport sector, in line with the national strategy for transport and logistics services.

This comes within the framework of the authority’s interest, in the development of the maritime transport sector, as part of its initiatives that seek to raise the Kingdom’s position, globally, and develop its services in the field of maritime transport, in a manner that supports the system of import and export operations and the economic and commercial environment, in the Kingdom.

The meetings aim to work towards developing and improving operational processes and logistics services and enhancing the customer’s experience, in ports, by increasing communication and supporting business partners, in addition to adding new shipping services, in this vital sector.

It also aims to discuss the latest developments in the maritime transport sector and its impact on Saudi ports, discuss development opportunities for port services, and work on strategic plans for the growth of quantities, in Saudi ports, as well as contributing to the marketing of port services.

These meetings have taken place with these shipping lines: Bahri, Cruise Saudi, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk, CMA-CGM, Evergreen Marine, OCEAN NETWROK EXPRESS, COSCO Shipping, Pacific International Lines Logistics, Yang Ming, Inc. Hyundai (HMM), Mediterranean Shipping (MSC), Orient Overseas Container Lines (OOCL), One High Lines and NYK Shipping.
