Saudi Logistics Academy Begins Presenting Qualitative Training

The Saudi Logistics Academy has started training the first batch of male and female trainees, in Riyadh, with qualitative diploma programs provided by trainers with experience in the logistics sector, who were recruited from different countries of the world.

The Academy’s Board of Directors, headed by President of the Public Transport Authority Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaihh held its meeting, where the board praised the concerted efforts of all to start training in record time, thanking the private logistics companies, that committed themselves to signing employment contracts for all the Academy’s trainees.

The members of the board reviewed the academy’s plans, upcoming programs, international and local strategic partnerships, and a number of topics on the meeting’s agenda.

The board affirmed the academy’s keenness to redouble efforts to meet the logistics sector’s need for national professional competencies, specialized in the transport and logistics sector, and this is consistent and integrated with joint efforts to achieve the objectives of the national strategy for transport and logistics.

It also reviewed the academy’s plan to launch upcoming training programs, which will include transport, distribution and trade, electronic, shipping and customs operations management, ports and operations management, international trade, import and export.

In addition to a plan to activate the qualification tracks, that include specialized executive programs and international professional certificates.

The academy included in its first batch, the number of male and female trainees exceeded 130, and the percentage of female trainees reached more than 50%, as the academy will be the main supporter for the rehabilitation of Saudi women, in the logistics sector.

Academy’s partners from the private sector signed employment contracts for all male and female trainees.

The board has trainers of the Academy’s programs, who have been recruited from different countries of the world to impart global experiences and expertise and to teach, as they are specialized English and in the logistics sector and the basic principles, in this sector.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Logistics Academy is a joint initiative between the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training.

With the support of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, and the Human Resources Fund “Hadaf” as one of the initiatives aimed at qualifying distinguished professional resources, in the logistics and supportive sector, to achieve the objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and to contribute to the consolidation of the Kingdom’s position, as a global logistics hub.
