Saudi Arabia joins joint international statement on space-based climate monitoring

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Space Commission, Dr. Mohammad bin Saud Al-Tamimi, signed yesterday the joint international statement on space monitoring of the climate, in the presence of the CEO of the French National Center for Space Studies Philippe Baptiste, at the headquarters of the Kingdom’s pavilion at the Expo Dubai.

The goals of the commission are based on adopting and participating in the joint international statement on space-based climate monitoring to achieve the Kingdom’s vision 2030.

The Saudi Space Commission’s accession to the joint statement comes to strengthen international relations, achieve cooperation in the field of space activities, and review the Kingdom’s efforts to reduce the repercussions of climate change.
