Redrawing tourism map, laying foundations for better future

Over 150 Senior Officials, Businessmen, to Attend Travel, Tourism Summit

As many as 150 senior officials and businessmen, related to the travel and tourism sector, are set to take part, in a summit to be held on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative conference, as an international platform that brings together leaders, investors and innovators around the world, to discuss the future of investment, in addition to other global and humanitarian issues.

“Tourism represents a vital and important sector, as much as 303 million people depend on the sector secured jobs, all over the world, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib said, adding that was before the outbreak of the pandemic, the tourism sector provided one in four new jobs around the world, but the impact of the pandemic on the sector was great. It has caused the loss of more than 62 million jobs.

During the summit, the five principles of redrawing the tourism map, which are led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and supported by the World Travel and Tourism Council, will be approved.

Tourism is a vital sector in building societies and the growth of economies.

Subsequently, it must be part of the solution to the problem of climate change, as everyone is concerned with the future of tourism.
