King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy signed a cooperation agreement with Hail University.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Sultan, President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, and Dr. Rashid bin Muslat Al-Sharif, President of Hail University.
The agreement aims to establish cooperation between the two sides, in hosting a station for measuring wind energy resources, at the university’s headquarters, in Hail, as well as providing training and cooperation opportunities with the participation of specialists in the city and the university.
Such an accord would promote the growth of a wide range of research and innovation programs for renewable energy, as it serves the national economy and keeps pace with achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, by benefiting from the university’s training and research capabilities and developing them to achieve research and training results, in the framework of atomic and renewable energy technologies.
The agreement also enhances cooperation between the two sides in the fields of research and innovation, education and training, and providing advisory services to support scientific research in the fields of atomic and renewable energy and develop national human capabilities, by taking advantage of the university’s research capabilities and developing them to achieve real research results, within the framework of the technical areas that the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy focuses on, in addition to support entrepreneurship, develop a joint incubator for technology, in renewable and atomic energy, and develop national cadres capable of leading the transition to atomic and renewable energy.
This cooperation between the university and the city is represented in the important research areas that serve the national economy and keep pace with achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
It is worth noting that King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy has signed and activated research and scientific agreements with a number of leading educational institutions locally and internationally, concerned with the fields of research and innovation, education and training, entrepreneurship, technology incubators, the establishment of energy training centers, and the provision of advisory services by taking advantage of research and scientific capabilities of universities.
In addition to research and technical cooperation in renewable energy technologies, that revolve around energy conversion and storage mechanisms.
