The Communications and Information Technology Commission extended the corrective period for postal service providers, for further additional 3-month.
They are working in providing postal services activities, in the Kingdom, without a license, in violation of regulations and laws.
This grace is starting from today and ending on January 20, 2022, in order to provide more opportunities for postal service providers to correct their conditions and benefit from the advantages of the corrective period, in light of the noticeable demand for obtaining regular licenses for their activities, during the last period.
CITC explained that the corrective period aims to protect the rights of the beneficiaries of postal services, enhance the quality of service provided to them and achieve fair competition, in the market.
Dealing are at avail via electronic platforms, while the CITC calling on violators to quickly correct their status, and take advantage of the additional period of obtaining regular licenses, to be able to continue to provide postal services to beneficiaries.
The authority indicated that the issuance of licenses is made through its website www.citc.gov.sa, stressing that providing postal activities, in the Kingdom, without a license after the expiry of the specified period, exposes a violating facility to penalties and fines prescribed by law, at all relevant government agencies, which reach up to Inflicting financial fines, closing the commercial register and suspending the facility, for good.
