Head of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Turki Al-Sheikh said direct and indirect income from the last Riyadh season rendered SR 6 billion, amid spending of SR3.1 billion.
Expressing his aspiration to achieve high income and less spending, he added that “The income is expected to exceed this figure in this edition of Riyadh Season, with the vigor of my Saudi brothers and sisters.”
Earlier Al-Sheikh said that the planned activities of the upcoming “Riyadh Season 2,” will be a great opportunity for creating more jobs.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and President of Riyadh Season, called everyone to take advantage of the momentum that will be generated at all levels.
He confirmed that the environment and the ground are ready to host the event with more than 20 million people expected to visit and attend the various planned events.
In the first season, there was a great economic boom for all spectrum, including Uber driver, owners of restaurants and cafes, many food trucks, real estate owners and renting premises.
Contractors, logistics companies and hotels also benefited greatly from the first season’s activities, he pointed out.
