Oil prices rose more than 1.5%, as Brent blend futures, the world benchmark, rose to a 3-year high, while the US crude hit its highest level, since 2014.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil closed up $1.31, or 1.7%, at $78.93 a barrel.
Brent also rose $1.30, or 1.6 percent, to $82.56.It’s noteworthy, earlier during the trading, Brent blend hit a three-year high of $83.13.
