Al-Aqilat Camel Festival Auction Proceeds, Posted over SR32 bln

The total proceeds of Al-Aqilat Camel Festival Auction, have amounted to more than SR32 million, in the presence of 450 of the most famous camel owners in the Kingdom.

The event is supervised by the Principality of Qassim region, in collaboration with the Salam Veterinary Group, in Buraidah.

The number of camels has reached more than 100 thousand, with different types, different colors and sizes of camels such as Majahim, Shaqh, Wadh, Shaal, Hamr, Safar, and others.

The festival witness a series of social and cultural events and programs, with the participation of a number of government agencies and more than 100 productive families.

In addition to exhibitions for the men of the legendary merchants of Al-Aqilat, who used, long ago, in the history, before the oil boom, to travel across the Arabian Peninsula, in general, and to the Fertile Crescent region, comprising nowadays Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq, on the camel’s back, with the natively local merchandise.
