As many as 45 speakers including experts and specialists, representing 15 countries, have taken the floor, through the mains 3-session, tackling aspects relating to the pals and dates.
The first session motto shed light on the world experiments for date-palms sustainable production and included a working paper on the The Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) in improving palms dates in the Arab world.
In addition to the Egyptian experiment in developing palms dates as well as the Saudi Arabian experiment in fighting Palm Red Mite, as well as the governance of agrarian cooperatives and their contribution to improve the dates’ sector and the physiological and morphological differences among regular and swollen dates.
Meanwhile, the second session deliberated on the opportunities for date world trade improvement, where a paper on the role of the logistics and service centers in sustaining world dates supply.
As well as promoting working strategies for business, market entry and the significance of supply chains and logistics, in addition to the medium manufacturing industries in enhancing the foodstuff industry, in general.
The third session was an open discussion panel on the latest developments on research, in terms of promoting world palm and date sector, where a paper in this regard, too, have been presented, seeking to find innovative solutions with highly added economic value and feasibility, in the sector.
