Strategic Plan of the Saudi Int’l Chamber of Commerce, Adopted

The Board of Directors of the Saudi International Chamber of Commerce, at the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce, held its second periodic meeting, headed by its Chairman Saif bin Abdullah Al-Turki.

During the meeting, the Chamber’s strategic plan was approved and several international delegations were organized.

A series of events, initiatives and meetings’ conclusions with government agencies and relevant local and international bodies, were also approved with the aim of developing the chamber and its activities.

The Chamber was established, in 1975, as an international front for the Kingdom, while taking its Vision 2030, as representing Saudi international trade, in the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), he explained

In addition to the relevant international organizations and regional forums, as well as representing the Kingdom in events related to the (G20).

The Chamber works on setting international commercial policies and practices, through its affiliated committees, to facilitate the movement of investment and international trade, in the Kingdom, he added.

Importance of the Chamber dependence on its strategic role, in encouraging foreign investment within the Kingdom, and contributing to the opening of the Saudi economy to the outside world, was stressed, too.

In addition to encouraging and supporting Saudi exports and products, promoting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 globally and participating in the Vision programs and initiatives, that would comply with the Chamber’s objectives and competencies.

Furthermore, to play a pivotal role in working to resolve commercial issues and disputes, by amicable alternative methods, including mediation, arbitration and conciliation, indicating that the Chamber represents Saudi economic activities, in international forums, and works to establish, set up and organize exhibitions for Saudi industries and products externally, he reasserted.

Work to protect intellectual property rights related to the International Chamber, at the global level, In addition to issuing guides and guidelines related to international trade.

Al-Turki indicated that the strategic plan of the Saudi International Chamber of Commerce is represented, in the Vision including: The Chamber be among the best 20 international chambers of commerce, at the level of the G20 member states, in accordance with the objectives of Vision 2030, and the use of best practices, in quality, institutional excellence, governance, commitment to partnership and cooperation with the relevant authorities.

The strategy includes five objectives: Implementing governance, quality and institutional excellence, achieving digital transformation, strengthening strategic partnerships, developing Saudi world trade and developing the chamber’s activity and services.
