As the last trading session of Tuesday August 31st, have come to an end, the Saudi stock exchange main Tadawul All Share Index or TASI, closed higher gaining 30.26 cent, at 11,319.24 points compared to 8,689.53 points, on Dec. 31st, 2020, with an overall gains of 2,629.71 points.
From the beginning of the year, through to the end of last August, the market has experienced strong surges in various sectors as well as shares, alike.
Applications and tech-service sectors rose 108.54 per cent, followed by the media and entertainment sector, at 91.99 per cent, investment and finance at 66.51 per cent and then the banks (with a much more preponderance, in terms of impacting the index movement) posting a rise of 46.26 per cent.
These four sectors, with another seven, have displayed a better performance outpacing the overall performance of the exchange’s main index.
Simultaneously, the basic materials’ sector rose, too, at 29.41 per cent, the communications was at 22.33 per cent, accompanied by another seven sectors, have emerged with performances below the market level, since the beginning of 2021.

In terms of the shares’ performance, as many as 78 shares have outpaced the whole market performance, as 8 of them have managed to double their prices, moving over 100 per cent.
In general, as many as 11 shares rose by over 75 per cent against 27 shares that rose over 50 per cent, 52 shares over 10 per cent and finally 40 shares rose, but below 10 per cent. To the contrary, as many as 20 shares have declined.
