Saudi Airlines Cargo (Saudia Cargo) won the award for the best carrier, in Asia, during an annual ceremony of Air Cargo News, specialized in creating content for the freight and logistics sector.
The award was presented at a ceremony, held in London, where representatives of international companies participated in the event.
This achievement comes in light of Saudi Cargo’s endeavor to enhance its logistical capabilities, in various continents of the world, and directly contribute to achieving the national strategy for transport and logistics, based on the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The vision aims at enhancing trade exchange between the Kingdom and the world, stimulate the economy and enable the Kingdom to become, a a global center for goods and shipments.
Saudi Cargo’s achievement of this accolade was preceded by receiving, last July, the award of the Organizing Committee for the Transport and Logistics Awards, in the Middle East, for the Year 2021 AD, due to its full commitment to the dates of transportation, delivery of shipments and goods, during the Coronavirus pandemic.
In May 2021, the company announced the start of operating (3) additional flights from Hong Kong on a Boeing 787 plane, in response to the increasing demand for e-commerce shipments, as the number of flights per week, in the continent of Asia, became (16) flights including besides Hong Kong, both Shanghai and Guangzhou.
The subsidiary company of Saudi Airlines joined the SkyTeam cargo alliance, in April 2019, and was able to enhance its operational capabilities and the scope of the large international coverage, that include more than 900 global destinations, provided by the alliance, to ensure the provision of multilateral freight services and achieve more connectivity among various destinations.
