Once all internal procedures are completed

Saudi Arabia, Iraq, initially Agree to Launch Maritime Transport Cooperation

 

 

The governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Iraq, concluded an accord, on the maritime transport, as they agreed to sign an agreement, in this regard, once all internal procedures are completed, according to SPA.

The committee would discuss setting up mechanisms to execute the cooperation agreement, in the maritime transport field and other related important issues, to enhance the role of the seaports and activate the maritime route between King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Umm Qasr Port, in Iraq.

As for the air transport, the two sides agreed to activate the air transport agreement, and discussed means to continue technical cooperation between the two countries, in the fields of air transport, air safety, aviation and airport security.
