Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2021 Workings, virtually, kicked off

.Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2021 has, virtually, Kicked off here on Tuesday.

The gathering is set to witness the launch of partnerships, signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with major international companies and government sectors.

The 3-day summit is organized by King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), in collaboration with King Saudi bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, taking place on 14-16 September.

Dr. Bandar Al-Knawy, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Health Affairs, at the Ministry of National Guard said that the summit would have positive effects on the future of biomedical technology manufacturing and investment, in the Kingdom, the region, and in the whole world as well.

“We are especially honored to have this summit, benefiting from the privileged patronage of HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the participation of the Minister of the National Guard.

This reflects the utmost importance given by the leadership of the country to this strategic field of biotechnology,” he elaborated.

The event took place with the participation of global medical elite and more than 100 registered experts, from various countries.

“Such a summit aims to achieve the aspirations of good leadership and alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, that cares for the development of the health sector to achieve sustainable development ,and in turn contributes to building a more vibrant and healthy environment, in the Kingdom and the world at large,” he pointed out.

It is also promoting investment in biomedical technology and emphasizing that the Kingdom is among the world’s leading countries, in the field of health care and biomedical technology, he added.

“Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2021 (RGMBS 2021) – falls in line with the health initiatives of the Ministry of National Guard through, through its research arm, the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), he highlighted .

It is of great significance in the light of the challenges and difficulties facing the world, in regard of development of vaccines, other clinical research and the great prospects created by medical technology for the future of health, industry and investment,” he explained.

“The scientific sessions of the 3-day summit will host experts and leaders of the world’s health sector, and highlight strategies for optimal investment, in medical technology and its role in the development of vaccines, cellular and genetic therapies” he stressed.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Health Affairs, Ministry of National Guard also underscored the importance of developing the know-how related to this field, expanding specialized research and upgrading the level of pharmaceutical manufacturing to counter epidemiology.

Moreover, he called for creating the optimal environment for innovation in medical technology and contributing effectively to develop a clear picture of the future and quality of this technology.
