Oil prices rose tonight for the fifth consecutive session, in a row, on Monday’s night.
Brent, the benchmark crude jumped $1.44, or 1.8 percent, to settle at $79.53 a barrel.
And US crude futures rose $1.47, or 2%, to settle at $75.45 a barrel.
But the price of “Brent” rose by 0.9% a barrel, on Tuesday, for futures contracts, to reach $80.24 per barrel, the highest level since October 2018.
The price of a barrel of US West Texas Intermediate crude for futures contracts also rose by 0.9% to settle at $76.07.
